HOW TO USE YOUR FORECAST

Your Forecast contains 12 plots, one for each month of the year. A sample plot is shown below:

You will find all days of the month on the horizontal axis.  Days that correspond to maximum fertility are emphasized by color lines. The red line shows a day of possible spontaneous ovulation, which depends on the lunar cycle (the rightmost day), plus reasonable time of sperm life.  The green line shows the ordinary ovulation day (the rightmost day), which usually occurs 14 days BEFORE the beginning of the next menstruation. The almost ideal case for conception is shown on this example.

Coincidence of red and green lines shows a period of maximal probability for conception.  A blue line corresponds to the moment of maximal activity of the spermatozoa.  This line is not so important for most healthy couples who are without sperm problems or unexplained infertility.  On the other hand, this line becomes very important for those who have sperm imperfections or cannot conceive for a long time, even though doctors could not find any abnormalities.  They may dramatically improve their chances by having intercourse when ovulation coincides or is very close to the man’s fertility peak.

Spontaneous ovulation is very stable and does not depend on the woman’s cycles.  Ordinary ovulation changes depending on the menstrual cycle.  So, if your previous period was shifted, you can move the green line of ordinary ovulation on the same number of days.  The date of an ordinary ovulation can be calculated by subtracting 14 days from the date of next menses.   This day will be the rightmost one (by upper edge of the plot) in green line.  The preceding 6 days are added to count possible instabilities and sperm life span.

When you watch your Forecast on the computer screen, adjusting the zoom (near the top of the screen) can help you to see the plot’s part of interest, although this is not necessary.

Please keep in mind that your Forecast was prepared with the assumption that both partners are healthy and have no medical abnormalities. If this is not the case, it is important to regain your health before using the Forecast.

To conceive, it is important to know the moment of ovulation.  The plots will show the expected time of ovulation.  For a healthy people it is enough.  When there are reproductive system
